Summation
There are instruction sheets available for landmark filing. The
listed, basic items, will be helpful when considering a site ;for
registration:
1. Letters of permission .from landowners are required when filing
for a state landmark.

2. A bibliography and supportive material is needed when filing.
Publications, public documents and copies of old documents· and
papers may be used for source.
3. The importance of a historical event, an individuals accom-
plishment,s, or the architectural importance of a structure; at
least one of these should be established. ·
4. When asking for a State landmark plaque, it might be advisable,
because of•vandalism, to provide for security.
