                  COMMITTEE  REPORTS:

                         Our  speaker  for  the  Odtober  m~eting  ~ill  be  Jerry  Reynold~.
                  Speaker  for  the  Novemnber  meeting  wiil  be  Carol  Sutter.

                  GOVERNMENT  RELATIONS:  J earm e  Evans

                         Jeanne  reported  that  she  has  been  unable  to  get  in  touch  by
                  telephone  with  the  owner  of  Prancing  Ponies  concerriing  the  ~se  of
                  Heritage  Junction  for  pony  cart  rides.

                         Jeanrt~  also      requested  that ·the  Board  approve               of  having  a
                  business  card  printed  for  her              as  representative  of  Government
                  Relations  for  SCVHS.

                         It  W~s  alsd  reque~ted  that  a  new  membership  form                be  printed
                  to  reflect  the  changes  in  cost  of  memberships.
                  MEMBERSHIP:       Anne  Kaulbach


                         Anne  "had  a  question  about  whether  the  Senior  Membership  fee
                  had  been     changed      from  $7     to  $8.      The    Board  was      in  favor      of
                  chiirtging    the  price  from  $7         to  $8    for  the  coming  year.            Anne
                  reported  that  our  total  membership  for  the  ye~r  #as  338  including
                  one  new  corporate  member  and  one  life  member.

                         Welcome  Wagon        headed  by  Gail  Storch  has          folded  and  will  be
                  replaced  by  Newcomers  Club  headed  by  Sarah  Seeley.

                  NEWSLETTER:       Anne  Kaulbach  for  Sharon  Devol

                         The  deadline  for        items  for  the  Newsletter  is  October               2  at
                  4:00  P.H.       Mailing  wili  b~       done  on  Wednesday.           Betty  Bvans  and
                 Laura  Mehterian  are  both  on  vacatioh.
                         We    need      to  be     thinking  about          ideas  for       a   corporate
                  preaent.tiort  for  new  corporate  membets.

                  HERITAGE  JUNCTION:  Paul  Kreutzer

                         Paul  called  our       attention  to  the        fact  that  two       full-$ized
                  trees  on  the  road  of  Heritage  Junction  have  been  reduced  by  Jerry
                 O'Dell  and  the        others  have  been  topped          to  reduce  the  spread        of
                  spider  mites.          The  brickwork        has  been     almost  completed.           The
                 front      of   the  Stati6n  has  been             painted  yellow  and            will  be
                  completed  on  Wednesday.          The     paint  on  the  Pardee  House          is  being
                 stripped.       The  steps  are  completed  both  front  and  back.
