General Meeting -2- April 17, 1985
Norman Harris announced the Mentryville tour has been rescheduled for June 1st
at 10:00 A..M. The tour will include the Mentryville home, Felton School and
oldest coatinuously producing oil well in the world. The tour is iJ.00 for
members and il5.00 for non members. ReserY"ations may be made in May.
There will be a tour October 12th of the Malibu La.goon M.lseu.m. It was the
Rl.nge beach house • It has hand decorated tile used in unusual ways • There is
also an indi an museum. Tour members w111 lunch at Don the Beachcombers •
Cynthia Neal-Harris announced on June 13th the Daughters of the American Revolution
are giving a comedy program and dinner at the Ranch Bouse Inn on the history of
the Santa Clarita Valley called The Tale or the Grizzly or Bear Tales.
The guests of honor are to ve Jerry and Myrna Reynolds. Dinner and show are
$12.00.
PROGRAM
In the absence of Jim Didrickson, Belen Blancher, our ca.ligrapher and past board
member presented Dr. Louis Hileary who is Di.rector of Instructional Services
oLthe L. A. Community Colleges. He iave a program 011 the old Red Cars of the
Pacific Electric System.
Betty invited everyone to enjoy refreshments.
