"Lawless Riders"

Ken Maynard (foreground, at right) stars in "Lawless Riders" (Columbia Pictures 1935).

Locations include the Trem Carr Ranch in Placerita Canyon, where Walt Disney would later establish his Golden Oak Ranch. One year later (1936), Carr would movie his movie ranch down Placerita Canyon Road to the site of the present Melody Ranch.

Other locations include the Iverson Ranch in Chatsworth and the Alabama Hills north of Lone Pine.

"Lawless Riders" is directed by Spencer Gordon Bennet from a story and screenplay by Nate Gatzert. The producer is Larry Darmour. Credited cast includes Geneva Mitchell, Harry Woods, Frank Yaconelli, Hal Taliaferro, Slim Whitaker, Frank Ellis and Jack Rockwell.

Maynard's horse, Tarzan, is not credited. Neither is John Ince, older brother of Thomas Ince. Neither are the following: Chris Allen, Hank Bell, Dick Botiller, Ralph Bucko, Roy Bucko, Bob Burns, Bob Card, Horace B. Carpenter, Gertrude Chorre, Art Dillard, Earl Douglas, Jack Evans, Franklyn Farnum, Oscar Gahan, George Hazel, Bud Jamison, Jack King, Charles Le Moyne, Johnny Luther, Cactus Mack, William McCall, Bud McClure, Eva McKenzie, Fay McKenzie, Robert McKenzie, Arthur Millett, George Morrell, Frances Morris, Artie Ortego, Tex Palmer, Fred Parker, Bill Patton, Pascale Perry, Tex Phelps, Rose Plumer, Glenn Strange, Al Taylor, Francis Walker and Blackjack Ward. The stunt performers are Art Dillard, Cliff Lyons and Francis Walker.
