The Piru Mansion, aka the Newhall Mansion at Piru, was built from 1889 to 1893 by evangelist David Caleb Cook. It was owned by the Warrings, a ranching family, from the 1930s to the 1960s when it was sold to Scott and Ruth Newhall. It burned down in 1981 and was rebuilt by 1984 to its original specifications, with some safety upgrades. Read Ruth Newhall's story about the mansion here.
