Scenes (screenshots) of downtown Newhall from Season 1, Episode 9 of ZIV Television's "Highway Patrol." The episode, titled "Reformed Criminal," first aired in December 1955.

ZIV was a producer of syndicated television programs in the 1950s. "Highway Patrol" ran 4 seasons, 1955-1959, with Broderick Crawford as Chief Dan Mathews and William Boyett as Sgt. Ken Williams; narrated by Art Gilmore.

HB1809a — Outside the former Bank of America building at the northeast corner of 8th Street and San Fernando Road (previously called Spruce Street, now Main Street), with a view of the Soledad Hotel on the west side of San Fernando Road between 8th and 9th streets (old address 727 Spruce Street).

HB1809b — Closeup of the Soledad Hotel.

HB1809c — Herald's Club bar. Address was 24371 San Fernando Road. West side of San Fernando Road between Market and 8th Street, closer to 8th.

HB1809d — Goodyear Tire shop at 24300 Main Street (east side of San Fernando/Main between Market and 8th streets).

HB1809e — Placerita Liquor at 24358 San Fernando/Main Street in the backgroud; unsure which cleaners was next to it.

HB1809f — The view north up San Fernando Road (Main Street) from the front of the Bank of America building at the northeast corner of 8th Street and San Fernando Road.
