Sidney Zboril Hudson

Sidney Hudson, 92, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at her home in Castaic, CA after a short illness. She was born in Brno, Czechoslovakia in 1922. She had two sisters, Sylva and Anna and one brother, Milos.

Sidney escaped to Germany in 1949. She then immigrated to the United States in 1954 and that same year she married Robert C. Hudson. They had three children, Sylvia, Charles, and Stan. The family moved to California in 1961 and settled in Santa Clarita in 1968. Sydney had a good career in Real Estate in the Santa Clarita Valley. In 1986 Sidney and Bob moved to Rancho Palos Verdes, where they 'retired' to owning a travel agency. They closed Bon Voyage Travel in 2000. Sidney moved back to the Santa Clarita Valley in 2003.

She is survived by her daughter Sylvia (Rick) Black; her son Charles (Stacie) Hudson and her grandchildren Kyle and Heather; her son Stan (Jennifer) Hudson and her grandchildren Sara and Kathryn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, in 2003. She was also preceded in death by her sister Sylva and brother Milos.

Services will be held at 11:30a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 23233 Lyons Avenue, Newhall, CA 91321. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
