Sam Grandmaison, age 61, passed away at his home in Santa Clarita, CA on April 4, 2016 following a lengthy battle with multiple myeloma. He was surrounded by his loving family. Sam was born in Amesbury, MA to Louise and Samuel Sr.

He is survived by his wife Lucy, his five sons Samuel III, Zachary, Ubaldo (Junior), Christopher and Nicolas, his eleven siblings, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as by his beloved Uncle Dick and Auntie. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Sam was the founder and owner of Grandmaison Construction Company which he operated for 30 years until his death. He was a legend in the construction business and his legacy will continue. He will be deeply missed by his business associates and loyal employees.

Sam was a generous man who supported multiple charities including the Michael Hoefflin Foundation for children's cancer.

Sam was an avid football enthusiast. He started playing as a young boy, went on to play for Spaulding High School and Plymouth State University. He was also a devoted New England Patriots fan.

Sam was an individual who loved spending time with his friends during his annual fishing trip to Sitka, Alaska and his monthly poker game. Sam was passionate about golf and enjoyed motocross.

Sam will be remembered most as a devoted father, loving husband, thoughtful neighbor and loyal friend. His passing will leave a void in the hearts of many.

The family will be greeting friends and relatives for visitation at Eternal Valley Memorial Park Mortuary, 23287 N. Sierra Highway, Newhall, CA 91321 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday April 15 Funeral services and interment burial will be held at Eternal Valley Memorial Park Mortuary at 10:00 a.m. Saturday April 16. Reception to follow at 16335 Sultus Street, Canyon Country, CA.
