Grace Posthumus

Grace Posthumus, age 93, passed away on January 2, 2016. Her life was full and well lived.

She and her husband Albert married in 1941. When Albert was called up to active duty during WW ll Grace moved into her parents' home with an 18-month-old baby and expecting another. Thankfully her Al came home to her and they ended up having 7 children, 21 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild.

Grace loved her Savior, the Lord Jesus, and raised her children up in the Lord. She kept busy at her church. She and Albert were able to take several cruises. They enjoyed their life together.

Albert preceded her in death in 1998 and she missed him till the end. Also her much loved son, Albert Jr., passed in 2007. She, as well as the whole family, missed these precious men. She had a great love for her children, and her children's children, and enjoyed being a part of their lives.

Last Saturday Grace had an amazing day. She earnestly desired to see the inside of one of her sons newly constructed house, but she was in a wheelchair. Somehow they got her in and she thoroughly enjoyed viewing the house.

On Saturday it was like the Lord said "Gracie, I have a special day planned for you. Today you're going to your son's house and then you're going to My House" and that's what happened. The long dreary hours of her later years ended with a really good day.
