Donald Scott Isaacson


Donald Scott Isaacson, aka Scott Isaacson, age 52 of Valencia, California, passed away March 23, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital in Los Angeles, California. He was surrounded by family and friends. He succumbed to complications from Neurofibromatisis, Type 2.

Scott was born August 23, 1963 in Glendale, California. Scott retired from LAUSD. He earned his AA Degree from College of the Canyons.

He took great pride in his '29 Woodie and '63 Cadillac classic cars and was a member of several car clubs: Santa Clarita Contemporary Car Club, as well as the Santa Barbara, SoCal and National Woodie Clubs.

His sense of humor and ability to overcome physical challenges were an inspiration to all who knew him.

Scott is survived by his mother and step-father, Brenda and Mike Morrison; his aunt and uncle, Karla and Gary Johnson; and nieces, Tamara and Sheridan Johnson. He was preceded in death by his loving Grandmother, Mary Butt.

A service will be held in his memory 12 p.m. April 2, 2016, officiated by Geoff Beckwith at Grace Baptist Church, 22833 Copper Hill Dr., Santa Clarita, CA. A graveside service will be held 2:00 April 2 at Eternal Valley Memorial Park, 23287 N. Sierra Hwy, Newhall, CA.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vicki's Cure, P.O. Box 1953, Phoenix, AZ 85001. Vicki's Cure supports those affected by Neurofibromatosis.

Per Scott and the family's request, please wear Car Club shirts or jackets and drive your classic cars. If you do not have a Car Club shirt, please wear some sort of Hawaiian (flowers, hula girls, palm trees) theme shirts.
