March 16, 2013 — Graves of Hattie Melrose Farmer (1847-1890) and her mother, Nancy Melrose (1815-1901). Located on a knoll south of Acton off of Arrastre Canyon Road, near Thousand Trails, on the site of the onetime Mount Gleason Ranch.

Acton historian Meryl Adams writes (pg. 43): "Norman Melrose arranged to have his sister, Harriet Melrose Farmer, buried on his Mount Gleason Ranch on a little hill overlooking Acton Valley."

Adams (on pg. 88) quotes R.E. Nickel's notice in the Acton Rooster upon the death of Norman's mother, Nancy: "Grandma Melrose was a dear friend to all. She was a good faithful Christian, a good, kind-hearted woamn, and she will be missed; but as she went we all must go; she has just gone before. Peace be with her. She was laid to rest by the side of her daughter, on teh little hill on her son's ranch, Mount Gleason, with its fine large trees overlooking the little hill with the two graves, both cut in solid granite."

Read: Murder, Manhunt and Melrose - Again by Dr. Alan Pollack (2014).
