                                     minutes ofBoard Meeting of February 24, 1997



              The meeting was called to order at 7:10 p.m. by Tom Frew after a quorum was ascertained.  See
              attached sign-in sheet.

              The Minutes of January 20, 1997 were approved without correction.

              Correspondence was read by Patti Rasmussen and included the following:
  0                  Thunderbird nights· fundraisers offered services
                     John Robinson wrote requesting photographs for a book he is writing on mountain passes.
                             Referred to Phil Scorza
  u                  Friends of Hart requested volunteers to help with an upcoming fundraiser.
                             Charles Russell wrote requesting the return of a donated Buffet, saying that a
                             family member was now interested in the piece and offered in exchange either
  0                          $500 or a roll top desk and chair in its place.

                             Carol Rock moved that we return the buffet and accept the desk and chair.
                             Karl Kanowski seconded
  D                          Motion Passed


              Treasurer's Report Treasurer Glen Rollins was not available, but had sent the report through
  0                  President Tom Frew.
                     Richard Smykle moved to accept the Treasurer's Report.

  0           Restoration Committee Report-- Pam Helvey
                      She discussed the topics discussed at the last committee meeting, which included the
              progress of the handicap ramp, Mogul Report (see later), Civil War reenactment group and the
              list of current projects presented by the Executive Director, Paul Kreutzer.  She also mentioned
              the year end report, and the proposed four "Olde Towne Days" events.  Don Woelke is looking
              for help to raise funds and work on the blacksmith shop and Pam announced that he was looking
  u           for volunteers to collect stones to reinforce the bank by the spring pole.  Alan Howe has

              volunteered to chair the interior restoration of the Ramona Chapel.  The Pardee House Roof is
              almost finished.  Climate control is the next project for the Pardee House.

              Executive Director's Report--Paul Kreutzer
                     Paul reviewed and expanded on the report from the Pardee House.  He also stated that the
