Rolling Stock:

We have been offered a donation of a box car for the Heritage
Junction Railroad. The box car must be moved by October 1, 1996.
We need this car near the locomotive for the storage of parts being
removed during the restoration.

In addition Mike Vitale has purchased a tank car, in excellent
condition, that he will loan to our railroad. Thirdly, Bob Bennett
has obtained a caboose that he will also loan to our railroad.

It is proposed that we place these three cars on the track beside
the Saugus Station. In this way they will be inside the wrought
iron fence to prevent the public from climbing on them. The order
of their placement will be: the box car next to 1629, the tank car
next, and the caboose last. These three cars will be moved down
toward the locomotive and are not expected to extend beyond the
building.

If this proposal is approved by the Board we will plan to have the
cars located on the track within 30 days. The cost for moving the
cars (approximately $500 each) will be covered by the Mogul 1629
Restoration Project. Loading and unloading of the cars will be
donated by the Shamrock Crane Co.
