Upper Di vision: Honorable Mention Exhibit by Ted Lysek
FUTURE SCIENTISTS SHOW THEIR WARES

Upper Divi si_on: Blue Ribbon Winner

Public interest in the Science Fair held in the William S. Hart High School cafeteria Saturday morning was satisfactorily in evidence despite the cold and inclement weather.
The competition, open to students of junior and senior high schools, was sponsored by the science class of the high school. It displayed exhibits and experiments, performed or constructed on the students own time.
The winners of trophies in the upper division (9, 10, 11, 12th grades) were: Terry Ho vey, first; Jim Arnold, second; and Kurt Schnepple, third. Top honors were captured in the lower division (7, 8, and 9th grades) by two Placerita Junior High students: Nadine Betsworth, first; and B r u c e Wirtanen, second. Third prize went to 9th grader, Bonnie Moore.
